Alia Bhatt's mother Soni Razdan makes her directorial debut with upcoming movie Love Affair. Khamoshiyan actor Ali Fazal has been signed onto the role which was offered to Arjun Rampal.

In a statement, Pooja Bhatt stated that Arjun Rampal was approached for this role, but the money he demanded was just too much for their budget.

Ali Fazal was approached and he immediately signed the movie.

Other actors include Kalki Koechlin, Gulshan Devaiah , and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

The film is based on the infamous Nanavati case in which a man catches his wife haveing an affair with a navy officer.
