Priyanka Chopra was in Los Angeles where she attended the Girl Rising India Campaign Event. Along with Freida Pinto, Priyanka Chopra launched a new campaign 'Girl Rising India'.

Priyanka is proud to be associated with such and important intiative and said, "I've been a part of the Girl Rising campaign since inception and am honoured to be able to bring this powerful idea to India. If more girls are educated, all of India stands to gain."

This campaign seeks to spark grassroot, community-led change for girls in India. It is organized by Vanity Fair and L'Oreal Paris.

The Girl Rising India film will release through out India 2015. The film shows the collaboration between powerful Bollywood celebrities and important social organizations that will work together to empower the girl child.
