After running in Maratha Mandir for an unprecedented, unheard of 1099 weeks, DDLJ it was announced finally that the film will be taken off. SRK and Kajol even congratulated the management of the cinema on Comedy Nights With Kapil for having run such a successful string.

However once the cinema goers came to know about this, they flooded the management with requests to not take it down.

YRF and Maratha Mandir management finally decided to let the film continue in it's usual 11:30 AM time slot.
